The following terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the Melia Packages "Price Guarantee":
Price Guarantee. The Price Guarantee applies to hotels and flight + hotel bookings (when booked together) made via the Melia Packages website [or mobile app] or by telephone via Melia Packages call centre which are fully pre-paid to Melia Packages at the time of booking. In the unlikely event that you find a lower rate (including all applicable taxes and fees) for the same booking (see full requirements in Section 3 below) on Melia Packages or on another USD based website [or mobile app] within (i) 24 hours of booking your flight + hotel package with Melia Packages or (ii) up to 48 hours prior to hotel check-in for hotel only bookings, we will refund to you the difference.
Claim Notification. You must submit a claim online at Melia Packages by completing the online submission form in full and following all online instructions and prompts (including without limitation providing any required screenshots of the submitted lower rate offer). The submitted lower rate will be validated by our customer service representatives in accordance with Section 7 below. The lower rate must be available for booking at the time your claim is validated by our customer service representatives.
Must be "like for like" Comparison. The Price Guarantee is available only for exact itinerary matches, for example, specific carrier or provider, same flight number, flight times, hotel (including room type), rate plan, cabin category, applicable refund and cancellation policy, pre-payment or deposit requirements, number of travelers and the exact same dates and times of travel or service as booked through Melia Packages. For any standalone hotel booking, the comparison must be to the same product purchased on a standalone basis through another website (i.e., not part of a hotel + flight package). Except as noted below, the Price Guarantee applies only to the cost of booked travel, as presented in the Melia Packages search results, including any taxes and fees. The Price Guarantee is not available for bookings on websites where the carrier, property, itinerary or similar booking details are unknown until after purchase (i.e., "secret deals"). You must meet all requirements imposed on the lower rate (if any), including, without limitation, residency, regional and age-related requirements.
Completion of Travel. Travel must be completed in accordance with the booked itinerary to be eligible to receive the refund. Changed or cancelled bookings are not eligible.
Comparison Rates Must Be Available to the General Public Online. The Price Guarantee applies only to prices both advertised and available to the general public on a USD website or app in the language and currency matching the itinerary. For example, this does not include promotional codes or vouchers; rates offered on membership program websites or cash-back websites; corporate rates or discounts; group, charter, rewards program, incentive, meeting, convention, consolidator or interline prices; prices obtained via auction or similar process; prices available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public. The lower rate may not come from a website or app where you are required to call or log-in to receive the rate, or from an e-mail that you have received. The price must be quoted, booked, and paid for in the currency corresponding to the relevant itinerary.
Important Note Regarding Travel Packages. When you book a flight + hotel (booked together as a package on the same itinerary) with Melia Packages the Price Guarantee applies to the cost of the travel package as a whole including all taxes and fees.
Verification of Claims. All requests, including receipts, are subject to verification by Melia Packages. Melia Packages will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of a lower rate that cannot be independently confirmed by our customer service representatives. Nor will we verify any request that we believe, in our sole discretion, is the result of a printing or other error or is made fraudulently or in bad faith. Only one claim will be permitted per Melia Packages itinerary and a maximum of 3 refunds per customer will be made in any given calendar month. Verified requests will receive a refund of the difference to the card used for the initial booking, within approximately 5 business days of submitting your claim.
Changes. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to modify or discontinue the Price Guarantee or to restrict, suspend, discontinue or cancel its availability to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to you. The terms that are in effect at the time of your booking will determine your eligibility under the Price Guarantee. No change in the Price Guarantee will affect any coupon that has already been issued to you.
Other. The failure by us to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the governing law of the general terms and conditions of the Melia Packages website
